Renovating, resurfacing or relining a pool
We do not resurface or reline pools ourselves. We know the trade, we know who does it properly, and we look after the water and the equipment either side of it.
Start with the honest part. Resurfacing, replastering and relining are not jobs we do in house. The work is specialised, it is disruptive, and the difference between a good job and a bad one shows up years later, so we would rather put you onto the right people than have a go.
What we can do is the part before it. Most people asking about a renovation are not certain they need one. A condition report tells you what you are actually dealing with, whether the surface is at the end of its life or whether the problem is the water chemistry, the equipment or a leak that has been quietly eating at it. That is worth knowing before anyone quotes you for a resurface.
And the part after. A pool coming back into service after a renovation needs to be filled, balanced and brought up properly, and the equipment needs to be running the way it should. That is our work, and it is the difference between a new surface that lasts and one that stains in its first season.

Before anyone quotes you to resurface a pool, it is worth knowing whether the surface is genuinely at the end of its life. Staining, roughness and discolouration are often chemistry or equipment rather than the surface itself. We look at it and tell you where you stand.

Do you resurface or reline pools?
No, and we would rather say so. It is specialised work and we do not do it in house. What we do is tell you whether you actually need it, point you to people who do it properly, and look after the water and equipment once it is done.
How do I know if my pool needs resurfacing?
Often you do not, and that is the point of looking first. Staining, rough patches and discolouration are frequently water chemistry or equipment rather than the surface. A condition report tells you which one you are dealing with before you pay anyone to quote a resurface.
Can you look after the pool once the renovation is finished?
Yes, and it matters more than people expect. A pool coming back into service needs the water brought up properly from the refill and the equipment running as it should. A new surface treated carelessly in its first season is where the damage happens.
